Beaudry Ambassador Training
Meet Your New Michael Beaudry Ambassador
I recently enjoyed a trip to Michael Beaudry’s corporate headquarters in Los Angeles for their Ambassador training program. They flew me out to Los Angeles, along with three other US retailers, for an intensive three day training program.
After checking into our posh hotel on Sunset Boulevard, we were whisked away for an afternoon of shopping on Rodeo Drive. Rebecca and Wade, our hosts for the trip, made sure to take us to the fabulous jewelry stores that line the streets of Beverly Hills. We hit all the classics; Van Cleef & Arpels, DeBeers, Harry Winston, Cartier, and Bvlgari. It was like my pilgrimage to Mecca . . . but better!
When the car picked us up the next morning at 8:00am, I knew we were in for a big day. We arrived at Beaudry’s headquarters, or what I like the call “the compound”, and were introduced to the whole Beaudry team. After making the rounds, we gathered in their conference room for breakfast. I was surrounded by dark wood cases filled with brand new dazzling Beaudry jewelry – breakfast has never tasted as good as it did that day.
For the next few hours, Rebecca and Wade illustrated the entire Beaudry concept in great detail. Starting with Michael’s history and background as a second generation diamond cutter/master jeweler/designer, all the way down to the newest collections and one of a kind pieces. But the best was yet to come . . .
The tour of their workshop was an incredibly educational and fascinating experience. The entire floor of their workshop is home to a team of master jewelers, each one sitting at their jeweler’s bench hand crafting original Beaudry pieces from start to finish. It is unbelievable, and I’ve never seen anything like it.
This team of highly skilled artisans, designers and gemologists all take part in the production of each individual piece of jewelry. A Beaudry Couture piece requires the teamwork of 7 to 12 skilled experts to take if from start to finish.
Each piece of Beaudry jewelry averages 35 separate components (some up to 1000) and each piece is individually hand fabricated and finished right there in the workshop. The completed piece is inspected by microscope, no less than 12 times during the production process, before it is allowed to leave the shop. It is details like this that make Beaudry jewelry so spectacular. As I left Beaudry that day I discovered a deeper respect for these master jewelers – and the artwork they create. I only wish that everyone had the opportunity to witness the meeting of old world craftsmanship and new technology up close. I thank [tag]Michael Beaudry[tag] and his team for the opportunity to spend the day observing the magic.

I think it’s great that Beaudry takes the time to educate the people who represent his brand. I’ve bought a lot of jewelry and Beaudry is definitely couture.
