Dmitry Medvedev’s Franck Muller Collection Rival’s Elton John’s?
At the tender age of 42 Dmitry Medvedev will become the new president of Russia. This protege of Vladimir Putin is the current Deputy Prime Minister and will officially be crowned President in May 2008.
A son of two academics, Medvedev was brought up in a proletarian area of Leningrad - but quickly acquired the taste of the bourgeoisie.
Recently, Medvedev spoke with Paris Match magazine and went on about his love for the Franck Muller watch brand and how he like to “color coordinate” the dials of his Franck Muller watches with his shirts. He went on to tell the magazine that he likes to attain a certain “dandyism” with his style, and matching the dials with his shirts gets him there.
I am actually interested to see if Dmitry Medvedev can recreate the “Putin effect”. A While back when Putin was noted for wearing a certain Patek Philippe watch, that watch became the best selling luxury timepiece in Russia. Shortly after that, he was photographed in China wearing a Breguet Marine and that watch sold out in Moscow within days…
